Real Wellness Starts with Real Connection

Who I Work With

I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and the long-term effects of stressful or overwhelming experiences.

Clients often come to therapy feeling:

• anxious or constantly on edge
• emotionally overwhelmed or disconnected
• stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand
• weighed down by shame or self-doubt
• impacted by past trauma or difficult relationships

Many people arrive wondering something like:

“Why am I like this?”

The good news is that there is always a reason.

Feeling calm and confident in your body is your birthright. I would love the opportunity to help you reclaim both.

I chose the language “Real Wellness” because that’s truly what we want for our clients and therapists. I have plenty of training and clinical experience, but I believe something important happens when people feel safe enough to be real with each other.

If I’m not real with you, I can’t expect you to be real with me.

Therapy works best when we can show up honestly. When that happens, we can begin exploring how that authenticity carries into the rest of your life.

Real people. Real connections. Real life.

Let’s figure this out together.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I’m not a nod and smile type therapist, which means a few things you might not expect.

I refuse to wear dress pants. I drink too much Diet Coke. My office has power recliners.

I will look you in the eye when I ask the hard questions. I might curse a little. And laughter is absolutely welcome in the room — sometimes loud, sometimes a little zany.

Humor and connection are powerful tools for healing.

What matters most to me is creating a space where you can be exactly who you are. When you feel safe enough to show up honestly, real change becomes possible.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is highly individualized because every person’s story is unique. One idea has always guided my work:

“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.”
— Carl Jung

Therapy with me is collaborative. We work together to uncover the wisdom in your story and strengthen the most authentic, resilient version of you. As we build awareness around patterns and internal dialogue, meaningful change becomes possible. As I often say: If we can name it, we can tame it.

Trauma Therapy and EMDR

I specialize in helping people who have experienced chronic trauma, attachment trauma, and significant life stressors. Trauma is often misunderstood. It isn’t always one big event. Sometimes trauma is the internal story that develops from experiences that taught us the world — or our relationships — were emotionally unsafe. Those stories shape the way we relate to people, ourselves, and our environment. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy method used to help the brain process and release the lingering emotional effects of trauma. Together we work to gently unravel the pieces of your experience and reorganize them in a way that feels more integrated, grounded, and empowering.
